Our garden project began two years ago when we moved out of the foothills to Lakewood. We started with two raised beds and have since expanded to include two more raised beds, three in ground beds and containers.  This season we're growing: potatoes, lettuce, spinach, broccoli, corn, Kentucky Wonder green beans (my childhood favorite!), sage, rosemary, basil, parsley, mizuna, tomatoes (of course), carrots, onions, squash, and plums on our two plum trees.

Year Established:
2008
Size:
200sq ft
What is your favorite part about gardening?:
I enjoy watching the transition from seeds to seedlings to plants. Each morning it seems it is almost like Christmas, where you go outside and never know what you’re going to find…I found my dog dug up some lettuce one morning in pursuit of fish emulsion…so its not always glamorous, but certainly worthwhile.
